The Grown-Up Playroom

A sophisticated playroom that moves naturally into adult living — imaginative for children, composed enough for the whole family.

The full family room · play, reading, making, and living in one composed space

Designed for children, not decorated like a daycare. This open family room gives every kind of play a considered place: reading by the window, making at the art table, building on the floor, imagining inside the linen tent, and learning from books displayed at child height.

Walnut cabinetry, woven baskets, and calm open shelving make the practical work disappear. Cobalt, saffron, coral, emerald, and teal animate the children’s side in deliberate moments, then soften as the room moves toward sculptural seating, warm leather, tailored upholstery, and quiet statement lighting.

The architecture remains the anchor throughout. A shared language of warm ivory, oak, walnut, black steel, and natural texture lets the room change character without feeling divided — playful where it should be, polished when the grown-ups gather, and livable at every hour in between.
